For this post I'm going to talk about a few scriptwriting competitions/festivals that if I so chose I could send in my script.
- The UK Film Festival Script Competitions: This year the festival is running two competitions First the Feature Script Competitions 2017/18 and the 3-Minute Script Competitions 2017 which both close January 9,2018. There are rules are A) For The 3-Minute Script Competitions-The Script Only. B) For The Feature Script Competition-The Script Only, in addition you may also include (however this is optional) a 1 page synopsis, A treatment /Outline of the script (up to 5 pages preferably including logline and pitch paragraph)
- PAGE INTERNATIONAL SCREENPLAY COMPETITION: Submissions Feature Film Script, Short Film Script,Original TV Pilot. Rule are as follows: Amateurs only: All writers of submitted material must be 18 years of age or older on the date of submission, and each writer or writing team may not have earned more than $25,000 or the foreign equivalent (jointly or individually) for work as a screenwriter and/or fictional television writer. Only original screenplays and teleplays are eligible.

- BAFTA Rocliffe Competitions: Four Competitions run through year: TV Drama, Comedy, Writing for Children, and Film. Open to UK Residents Only. All entries receive feedback. Win in-depth script report, industry introductions, and more. Deadlines vary depending on script type. Competition opening dates: TV Drama 4 January 2018; TV Comedy 13 March 2018; Children’s Media 29 May 2018; Film 14 August 2018.
Entry Fee: £45
Submit: pitch, treatment, character breakdown, 10 page extract of script. Check website for full submission details and rules.
